May 8th Protest and Donation Drive

Come one, come all to our next monthly protest on May 8th, 2010 for an afternoon of singing, dancing, and informing the public of the abuses with the Church of Scientology.

Along with our regularly-scheduled win, as it is the day before Mother's Day, we will give additional focus to the abuses within the Sea Org, especially their history and policy of forced abortions. It should be noted that this is not an issue of being pro-life or pro-choice, as choice is something being taken away from women within the Sea Org who become pregnant.

To bring additional attention to this foul practice, Anonymous Minnesota will be hosting a donation drive for People Serving People, and will be accepting donations of baby toys, clothes, diapers, and other supplies to be delivered promptly to this great local charity. New supplies are preferred, but gently-used goods are acceptable.

Following the protest, our donation booth will remain open and as the sun sets, we will be holding a candlelight vigil in memory of Scientology's numerous victims throughout the decades.

Scientology sure has been getting a lot of bad press recently, what with the high profile defection of the Collbrans resulting in a frontpage New York Times article, Vulture Ministers in Haiti, Kristie Alley's frontgroup diet program accusations, the German documentary Until Nothing Remains, Senator Xenophon's motions in Australia... the list goes on. Locally, our favorite Scientology minister further publicized these issues on WCCO radio. Thanks, Brian Fesler!

Let's make sure the Minneapolis Scientology Org knows that we Do Not Forget and We Do Not Forgive.
